Resolution

For the Formation and perpetual joining of World Student Union for Peace to Combat The Bigotry and Intolerance of The White Student Union at Towson University

Whereas, the Towson University’s White Student Union mask their message of bigotry and intolerance under guise of advocating “the European folk, our culture, and our future”. They at the same time claim “black predators prey upon the majority white Towson University student body” and allude that it has been long up to “White Southern men” to “defend their communities when law enforcement and the State seem unwilling to protect our people”. The groups hate speech and negativity do not stop with the black population, but extend to homosexuals, and Christian groups that do not share their philosophy. This form of thinking is dangerous and prejudicial and must be comforted.

Whereas, national media coverage has placed the spotlight on Towson’s WSU, this has not dampened their hate laced rhetoric or their avocation of a pro-white agenda at the expense of minorities. Even being designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center has only reinforced their resolve and the support of other like minded groups namely; “Family Research Council, Society of Saint Pius X Catholic Churches”, as well as “the Oathkeepers”. Allegedly the increased in attention has only added to the growth in membership of the group.

Be It Resolved, that the formation of counter groups starting with The World Student Union for Peace at the University of Baltimore will be used to stem the popularity and growth of the WSU and any like-minded group.

Be It Further Resolved, that UB’s WSU for Peace will advocate tolerance, equality, and unity of all groups within the nation, no matter their heritage or ethnicity. UB’s WSU for Peace will be active in spreading it message in an effort to show that  Towson’s WSU philosophy is not the dominant thesis in this country, and there are those willing to stand up to any and all forms of oppression and hate, whether it be implicit or explicit.
